37 days until Mantle's analytics go dark

The mantle shifted.
Find solid ground.

Mantle winds down non-billing services on August 14, 2026, and customer data is deleted about 30 days later. Here's the part they can't delete: your analytics were always built from Shopify's Partner API — and Crust rebuilds years of it from one token, in about 20 minutes. No export required.

The whole migration

  1. 1
Paste your Partner API token2 min

The same kind of token you gave Mantle — created in Partner Dashboard → Settings → Partner API clients with “View financials” and “Manage apps”. We verify it instantly, encrypt it at rest, and use it read-only. (Make Mantle's token separate so you can revoke theirs independently.)

  2. 2
Export contacts from Mantle — the one thing worth saving3 min

Your metrics rebuild from Shopify, but merchant contact emailswere collected by Mantle's identify calls and die with it. Export the customer CSV from Mantle before August 14 and drop it into Crust's import — then point your app's identify call at us (four copy-paste snippets, Remix/Node/Rails/curl).

  3. 3
    Coffee~20 min

Years of installs, subscriptions, uninstall reasons, and payout transactions import and classify themselves. Cohorts, NRR, trials, and CLV are waiting when you get back.

Where everything went

Including the honest rows — we'd rather you know now than find out later.

Retention & revenue cohortsInstall cohorts + first-payment revenue cohorts
Trials reportZero-config — trial data direct from the 2026 Partner API
Mantle needed per-plan trial configuration
Uninstall reasonsAI-classified into 10 canonical reasons, any language
store-closure churn flagged separately from product churn
Customer profiles & timelinesFull lifecycle timeline per merchant, with contacts
Contacts / identify()Drop-in identify API + CSV import of your Mantle contact export
Slack notificationsUninstall alerts (reason + contact attached) + AI weekly digest
Mantle MCP / AI agentsMCP server is live — connect Claude Code, Claude Desktop, or Cursor and chat with your metrics
read-only, one header to set up, works with any MCP client
Billing & plansNot us — use Shopify's native App Pricing
Shopify absorbed billing in May 2026; we're deliberately analytics-only
Flows / email automationChurn playbooks — trial-ending nudge, win-back, subscription recovery, high-MRR Slack escalation
AI-drafted, review-first by default; the four flows app developers actually ran in Mantle, without the flow-builder UI

The Mantle-customer deal

Connect before August 14 and the Growth plan is free until January 1, 2027— every feature, no card, no usage caps. You're trusting a new tool during a forced move; you shouldn't have to pay while you decide if we've earned it.

After that: $49/mo flat (free under $5k MRR), unlimited apps. Prices here only ever go down.

Migration questions

Will my historical MRR match Mantle's numbers?

Closely, not identically — both tools reconstruct MRR from the same Partner API events, but edge-case handling (frozen shops, annual plans, plan changes) differs slightly everywhere. Where we differ, we show our work: every number drills down to the underlying events.

What about my trial history?

Trial data comes from Shopify's new events feed, which only keeps ~30 days — so trial analytics accumulate from the day you connect. One more reason connecting before August 14 beats connecting after: every week you wait is trial history nobody can recover.

I used Mantle for billing too. What now?

Shopify's native App Pricing (launched May 2026) is the official successor for billing — Mantle's own wind-down guide points there. Crust deliberately doesn't do billing; we're the intelligence layer on top of whatever bills for you.

Who's behind this?

A Shopify app developer who needed it — Crust runs on our own apps' live data first. Ask us anything at hello@heycrust.com; the founder answers.
